Purple Cloud Therapy adheres to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) the following Privacy Notice outlines how we safeguard our clients personal information.

Obtaining Your Consent

All our therapists working within the ethical framework of BACP.

 

We shall not share any of your personal information unless we have written consent prior to doing so.

 

We would like to bring to your attention, Purple Cloud Therapy has a legal and ethical obligation to share personal information to ensure the safety of all our clients and others.  We have a duty to protect children, vulnerable adults or young person, and members of the public to prevent any form of crime if required and aware of any crime may be committed or has been.

What Information does Purple Cloud Therapy Record?

 

As part of our referral and assessment we take the following information which is stored securely;   the following personal or sensitive information either by paper or electronically, and this would include:

Personal information:

  • First name or given name/name known as

  • Surname or Family name 

  • Address

  • Place of work/ work contact

  • Telephone numbers

  • Date of birth

 

Sensitive personal information:

  • Gender

  • Marital status  

  • Ethnicity 

  • Religious or other cultural beliefs

  • Physical or mental health or condition

  • Sexuality

  • Offences (including alleged offences), where relevant

Information Security

We appreciate the information that is provided to Purple Cloud Therapy may be sensitive and will uphold your confidentiality.  We store all information in a secure and controlled manner which also means we control anyone that has access to it, this is on a need to know basis.   We will not share any information we hold of any of our clients unless we are legally required to do so and will endeavour to inform our clients before following such protocols.  

 

 

We will only share such information as necessary, and where we are fully satisfied that the other party/organisation is entitled or needs to know and will also keep the information securely.

 

Concerns and Errors

 If you believe that information we hold about you is not accurate, out dated or incorrect please notify our office.  If you have any concerns and would like to know how your personal information is managed, please contact our office and we shall endeavour to resolved those concerns.

 

If there is any information you do not want us to hold or would like deleted, please contact us via email and we shall removed such information unless we are legally obliged to hold on file such records.  We may also be unable to remove/delete such information for risk management and auditing purposes. 

 

If you believe that information I hold about you is incorrect or out of date, or if you have concerns about how I am handling your personal information, please contact me and I will try to resolve those concerns.

Purple Cloud Therapy operates in an ethical manner and ensures all the staff follow the same code of conduct.  If we become aware of any concerns or issues in relations to our privacy practice, we shall take these matters seriously and the necessary steps to address them as promptly as possible.
